Oakshire Inspires

Oakshire Inspires presents "Get your axe down to the Oakshire Public House" on Wednesday March 16 between 11am and 10pm and $1 from every beer sold will go to Eugene Mountain Rescue.

Starting at 6pm there will be climbing videos and raffles for gear and prizes from Backcountry Gear, The Crux and the University of Oregon Outdoor Program.

The goal is to raise money for the Climb School that is run in conjunction with Eugene Mountain Rescue and the Obsidians.  Additionally we are accepting donated ice axes that can be used in the Climb School.  The Climb School has provided members of our community with the skills needed to travel safely in an alpine environment for more than 30 years.   More details can be found on the Obsidian Website.

The Oakshire Public House is located at 207 Madison St, Eugene, OR • Google Map

Our Mission

Eugene Mountain Rescue exists to provide Lane County with trained volunteer rescuers for emergencies in mountain areas and steep terrain. Founded in 1968, our volunteers are ready to respond 24 hours a day to people in need. EMR also works in our community to promote outdoor safety and safe mountaineering practices. EMR is nationally certified through the Mountain Rescue Association and we respond to mutual aid calls to other counties throughout Oregon and the Northwest.
