Remember Me
Up the Hill
EMR's most recent training had our participants practicing low angle rope systems near Eagles Rest Trail. The unusually balmy weather made for a very pleasant day with lots to learn. Thanks to Dalen, Tom, and Brian for putting it together. Special appreciation to Brian for the challenging scenario and willingness to be our subject for the day. Our thanks also go to UO journalism student Emma Decker (www.emmadecker.com) for letting us use her great photographs.

Our Mission

Eugene Mountain Rescue exists to provide Lane County with trained volunteer rescuers for emergencies in mountain areas and steep terrain. Founded in 1968, our volunteers are ready to respond 24 hours a day to people in need. EMR also works in our community to promote outdoor safety and safe mountaineering practices. EMR is nationally certified through the Mountain Rescue Association and we respond to mutual aid calls to other counties throughout Oregon and the Northwest.
